Happy Mother's day to all the mom's. I never knew how much my mom loves me until I became a mother. I love being a mother to Bailey and Hayden. They are my best friends. I was thinking how much my life has changed since having children...
I never watch CSI or Law & Order anymore because it has too many shows about children getting hurt.
Watching Elmo is one of my favorite things to do in the morning with Bailey.
Whenever I get any extra cash I get Bailey or Hayden a new toy or book.
It's okay if the house isn't spotless at the end of the day as long as we had fun messing it up.
I used to spend hours a day looking perfect and now I go to the store most of the time with no makeup and sweat pants.
I will spend hours a day looking for a missing toy or shoe.
I find myself always wanting some time away from the girls, but as soon as I do I am missing them.
I cry when other kids are not being nice to them. And have the best day when someone gives Bailey or Hayden a compliment.
Life has changed for me, but definitely for the best! What a great blessing it is to be a mother. There is no greater calling to be a mother. President Gordon B. Hinckley said "The greatest job that any mother will ever do will be in nurturing, teaching, lifting, encouraging, and rearing her children in righteousness and truth. None other can adequately take her place." I am grateful for my mother and for her example. She is an amazing mom and friend. I hope I am able to show my daughters the same love as she does to me.
Also, I love my mother-in-law and for raising such an amazing man. She means so much to me and I love talking to her. She is the sweetest person I have ever meet. I definitely have a lot to live up to. Thank you mothers. It is a hard calling but is the most important thing that we will ever do.
